When the Weight of Everything Becomes Too Much

You've spent years being the one everyone counts on. The reliable one. The strong one. The one who holds it all together while quietly wondering when someone will finally hold space for you.

Maybe you're lying awake at 2 a.m., replaying conversations and second-guessing decisions. Maybe you're going through the motions of a life that looks fine from the outside but feels hollow on the inside. Maybe you're so tired that the thought of adding one more thing to your plate makes you want to cry.

Does this feel familiar?

  • You feel lost, like you don't recognize yourself anymore
  • You're exhausted in a way that sleep doesn't fix
  • You struggle to say no, even when you're already running on empty
  • You're questioning beliefs, relationships, or the life you've built
  • You feel guilty whenever you try to put yourself first

If you're nodding along, please know this: what you're feeling

makes complete sense. You're not broken. You've just been buried beneath years of taking care of everyone else.

A Supportive Therapist Who Understands Where You've Been

I'm Teresa Grechenkov, LMHC, and I work with women in midlife who are ready to stop running on empty and start reconnecting with themselves.

I understand what it's like to question everything you thought you knew. To wonder who you are when you're not defined by the roles you play. To carry beliefs that once felt like home but now feel like a weight you didn't choose.

In our work together, you can expect:

  • A space that belongs only to you, with no one else's needs to manage
  • Genuine understanding of faith transitions and religious backgrounds
  • Support that meets you exactly where you are, at your own pace
  • Practical tools alongside deeper exploration of patterns and identity
  • Warmth and honesty without judgment or agenda

Many clients tell me that therapy feels like finally exhaling after holding their breath for years.

Why I Do This Work

I became a therapist for midlife women because I believe too many of you have spent your lives being told your needs don't matter. I'm working against the exhaustion, the guilt, and the quiet desperation that comes from decades of putting everyone else first.

I've seen what happens when women finally have a space that's just for them. When they stop performing and start breathing. When they begin to uncover the strong, whole person who has been there all along, waiting beneath the roles and the expectations.

That's what becomes possible with support. Not a quick fix or a complete overhaul. Just a steady, grounded presence walking alongside you as you figure out who you want to be in this next chapter. You may find yourself feeling lighter. More grounded in your own truth. More confident in saying no when you mean no. More connected to the woman you've always been underneath it all.

When You're Ready, I'm Here

You've already taken a brave step by reading this far. If you're feeling even a small pull toward reaching out, trust that instinct. You don't need to have the right words or know exactly where to begin. That's what our first conversation is for.
